Knitting class offered (The Altoona Herald-Mitchellville Index) A beginning Knitting class will be held at 7 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 13 to Nov. 1, at Polk City Community Library, 1500 W. Broadway St. Class size is limited. Pre-registration is required by Sept. 6. No experience is needed.
Senior Happenings (Southlake Times) The Southlake Senior Activities Center, located at 307 Parkwood Drive, is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Monday, August 20, 2007 (Chattanooga Times Free Press) Kenneth Eugene Bearup, 70, of Collegedale, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, at a local hospital. He was a member of the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church. Mr. Bearup was retired from the Universal Forest Products Co. with 28 years of service. He was a loving husband and father and friend to many.
